The Ordinary
I had avoided this place since moving to Charleston because I kept hearing about how over-priced it was and, frankly, we have plenty of great “raw bars” here. Well, that was just a mistake. This was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in Charleston. The “Tete de Poisson” (essentially fish cheek and collar fried in a crab cake style) is one of the tastiest dishes in town. Also spectacular was the Grilled Amberjack, the King Mackerel, the Blue Crab Cocktail, the fresh Oysters and the Littleneck Clams were fantastic. Even the veggie dishes were amazing - the Zucchini Carpaccio, the Winter Greens Salad, the Broccolini and the Sweet Potato. The desserts too were delicious, especially the Panna Cotta and the Budino. Have someone else pay though!
